Back from the Rough Seas Painting

Hovering over the abstraction, Dana is creating visual poetic spaces, mostly using a very new technique which she is experimenting with for the last few years. You can study how it was painted, but Dana hopes that the viewers will feel the paintings with their hearts rather than with their brains. The layers of painted silk are interspaced with the acrylics; some layers are transparent or translucent, some opaque, which gives her pieces infinity of hues and shades of colors. Complementary, monochromatic, bright, subdued, transparent, opaque, shiny; she uses them all to achieve the special effects. The same color looks different on different materials or textures.
