Art Description

Painting: Oil, Digital, Color, Manipulated on Canvas.

in these works I discuss our perception of nature, and take the discussion of Skill versus Innovation a step further.

In my opinion our narratives of nature are based on our perception of artworks – literature, music and visual art.
We dive into the collective memory to find comparison to comprehend a nature environment.
I combine two ways of photography, the central perspective and the handheld scanner. The scans are made of the exact same piece of nature as the photo, and then replace the image.

The oilpainting – made by “the Chinese van Gogh” in DaFen – is based on my drawings with Chinese ink. I asked the painter to copy my brushstrokes in black oil paint van Gogh style.
