About The Artwork
Before I lived in Florida, I was a frequent visitor. I’ll be honest, it hits different when you’re only here for a week at a time. The humidity,rain,bugs,heat…they all feel different when it’s vacation (obviously). BUT, living here also opens up opportunities to see Florida through different eyes. Seeing the beauty in the heat, flora,fauna etc. It’s hot, and they call roaches ‘palmetto bugs’,which does NOT make them better btw, but it’s fun, and exciting, and so different than anywhere else.I have a real world chance of seeing a gator every time I leave my house-there are wild pigs that just free roam- there are so many people from so many places. Florida gets a bad rap-sometimes it’s deserved- but it’s a wild and wonderful life down here!This piece was painted with acrylic paint , markers, and ink on paper. I then added the orange background digitally. FUN FACT- Orange blossoms,right before the oranges grow, have the MOST heavenly scent…it sort of reminds me of a scratch and sniff sticker of grapes!

I am an artist who lives in sunny (hot.humid,muggy,buggy,rainy) beautiful Central Florida. Sometimes I have the art world TOTALLY figured out, and then when I wake up, I remember that figuring out the art world isn't actually a thing. I am ever evolving, and never settled in an art style. Sometimes that's a cool trait, mostly it's not. One thing that I pretty much stay true to is my love of depicting pop culture. Here you will find my many styles of art - but think of it as all different roads leading to the same place...your walls! In 99% of the prints I offer, I create the central artwork with acrylic paint,Copic markers, and ink. The only thing I add digitally is the solid color back ground because I like when the solid color is smooth and consistent, and occasionally I add some neon to my work.
