About The Artwork

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is my vision of the Beethoven quartet op.132., An attempt to recreate the magic and intimacy of this wonderful composition also to pay tribute to this man who despite the difficulties of life managed to create something unique. I tried to recreate the composition of Beethoven starting from my perception, imagining the lines and colors as if they were sounds and musical phrases that recreate the musicians and the music itself. I hope I have managed to convey the sense of mysticism and sacredness that this composition transmits to me.

Born in Buenos Aires in 1982 and grow up in Milan, Martin Cambriglia lives and works since 1989 in Milan, Italy. Painter and musician, his pictorial research is rooted in Italian futurism and in dreamlike surrealism with particular attention to a continuous dialogue between visual and musical language. The fluidity of the sign and its rhythm, the broken and re-harmonized equilibria are based on different techniques, they all flow together to create a lyrical but profoundly powerful image.
