About The Artwork
Looking at insane policies of the government, I layer facial expressions of those from an insane asylum, of past and current politicians. Oil lends itself to fluidity and layering so previous expressions surface and merge with current reality. Scrutinizing politicians in this way, I hope the viewer can see both the humanity as well as the flaws of those who attempt to build society.
