About The Artwork

The concept of this work literally hit me on the head when I was at a rally-raid in February on the Igora Drive racetrack The idea is to connect the racing past and the future in St. Petersburg. Gone in history in connection with the reconstruction of the stadium. CM. Kirov, the Nevskoye Koltso race track and the new Igor Drive race track promising a cool sporting future ... The concept of the painting is based on the diagrams of these two routes (blue - Nevsky ring, the colors of logos and the general perception are seen in this color, and red - Igora Drive is red color perception.) The Igora Drive circuit is drawn on top of the Nevskoye Koltso circuit, the Igora circuit is the route of the future, and no matter how nostalgia escalates, you cannot cling to the past, you need to live and develop the future. Nevertheless, the Nevskoye Ring circuit in one place overlaps the Igora circuit, in this place the Nevskoye Ring has a turn called “bridge” in the picture, this bridge symbolizes the connection between the past and the future. About this picture, I can say that this is my engine! The engine is inside me! I was inspired by the presence on the Igora Drive track to write this picture, before the official opening of the sports complex! And I am infinitely grateful to the creators of this route for the fact that they returned to St. Petersburg circuit races, after the closure of the Nevskoge Ring trails, and not only returned, but did it on an incredible scale! I really hope that this place will become for me the same home, the same source of inspiration and vitality, as the Nevsky Ring once became! I will make every effort to become one of the parts of this small world, I have already become one and thanks to this route I am loading deeper, now there is a gorgeous source of energy near the house, the air source I breathe! And this source has everything you need for growth and development! And that means that he will not run out, and that means that my inspiration will not run out! And from this thought I want to endlessly create! Oil painting, canvas One-of-a-kind work of art Size: 80 × 100 × 2 cm (no frame). There is also a certificate of authenticity.

Svetlana has two distinct passions in life – painting and cars! For many years, she has worn two hats: holding a a degree in graphic design, she has worked as a designer in an corporate environment simultaneously organizing races on the racetrack of St. Petersburg, which led her to travel with the racing team throughout Russia and Europe. During this time, she obtained a certificate in airbrushing, thereby linking her creative and automotive interests. This is how her unique direction in painting has formed. Combining the love for art and cars, she began to focus on the intricate beauty of technology. She saw beauty and sophistication in all sorts of technically complex devices – car engines, cogwheels and other parts, where others only see a perfectly functional mechanism. Now she tries to share her vision with the world and show everyone how beautiful those car mechanisms are... Every artist at least once in his life painted a portrait, and it is through portraiture that one can capture the essence of a person. Svetlana also paints portraits, as each complex mechanism is a portrait of the master who created it, a hidden portrait that is not accessible to everyone... We use cars and other technical devices every day, without even wondering how they work and even more so what they look like. Svetlana has a unique opportunity to know how they look from the inside, thanks to her husband, who brings them back to life after a breakdown. She is a technical portraitist! Today, Svetlana's works are in private collections in Russia, the CIS countries, Finland, Israel, Spain and the USA.
