About The Artwork
This is my interpretation of macro/micro in a winter scene. The birch branches seemed to reflect the silvery palette of frost and stars and the silver medium was used to depict the crackling sensation of the icy atmosphere. Aside from the obvious cool color palette, I felt attracted to the sort of pulsating quality of the purple, that represents the surge of life and energy as the undercurrent in an otherwise seemingly "dormant" environment.
