I painted this using only black oil paint and a brush.
I was inspired by greasy mobile phone screens and how the light reflects and the shapes change when one passes the finger on it.
So I wanted to play with the paint materiality, and to create this game of light onto the surface through texture.
The viewer has to move in front of the painting depending on the light to perceive the "drawing", and the surface is always changing. Black is a great colour to make light refections visible.
The "drawing" is a dimensionally ambiguous shape that captures the mind, as the light on the surface captures the eye.
