About The Artwork

Another painting ready for this year of immersion, where I seek to understand my processes and what I want to convey through images, a metaphysical state of unfolding, of stepping out of oneself, out of the solidity of the body and the physical world, to see oneself, to discover oneself, to minimally dilute the ego with water and sugar and a boat with slender bows in hand, heading towards the darkness of who one is, getting used to the darkness, floating beneath one's own porous surface, proposing to listen to the silence of the unconscious. I thank Jon Fosse for the beautiful and abundant inspiration: "Just find one's own pace again, then everything will be fine, she thinks, because at these times it's as if the weight with which life fills us becomes lighter, lifted off her, begins to move, and thus leaves behind all the dense, heavy, immobile, and black that life can be."
