About The Artwork
This painting is the end result of a particularly toxic relationship that I found myself mixed up in. The act of painting it served as a cathartic exercise in straightening out both my head and my heart. The title derives from The Cure's song of the same name- a song that would regularly find itself on my "Pick yourself up & dust yourself off" playlist. It's painted on the reverse side of sheet Perspex and the artwork is viewed through the sheet plastic rendering it with a surgical, hermetically sealed property.
