About The Artwork

Opera created in honor of the Verdiano Festival held every year in Parma, birthplace of Giuseppe Verdi. Diptych: composed of 2 elements of equal size (90x60 each) side by side and screwed on the back. Do you know Maria Callas? was the greatest opera singer of the last century... Born in NYC to a Greek family, a woman a little unlucky and a little not (married Onassis who left her for Jacqueline Kennedy). There were many triumphs and enthusiastic acclaim all over the world for this soprano; she was also much loved in Italy, my country. I dedicated this painting to her.

Noemi Bolzi was born in Parma, Italy. After her graduation from the Art Institute “Paolo Toschi”, she started her career as a painter and ceramist. Noemi creates bright paintings, with vivid colors, which are expressions of evident tactility. Her paintings, realized in acrylic with material background, convey light topics.
The eclecticism of the techniques and the contamination between different styles make her artworks “living matter”, which can be read in different and dynamic ways. Among the most gratifying experiences of Noemi, we can notice her participation in the “Winter Salon-Eix de Raval” (Barcelona) and in “Art Shopping” Carrousel du Louvre (Paris), where she presented paintings and raku ceramics. The production of raku ceramics is for Noemi, another way to experiment with new techniques. Her raku jewels, in particular, were worn during several fashion shows. Noemi’s artworks are now in private collections in Italy, Spain, France, England, Brazil, New York and Florida.
