The "Control Attempt" project is a metaphor for how I'm trying to regain control of my life. The year 2020 has shown that controlling events is impossible and unattainable. We can only try to follow the plan, but circumstances caused by a virus or a dictatorship are always stronger than us. The project presents abstract paintings, the main object of which is color. Each selected color is a code for the events and feelings being lived. The project arose from an artistic practice in which I try to maintain the illusion of control over the liquid paint spreading across the canvas, not allowing it to escape beyond the form I idealize, to keep it within the boundaries of the canvas. This is my kind of meditation, an attempt to find balance in a certain period of time. But as in life, it is impossible to gain 100% control, so there is a lot of room for chance in painting.

I was born in 1982 in Gomel, Belarus. Lives and works in Berlin, Germany With the help of artistic practice, I explore the modern world and its effects on our feelings. Trough my personal experience and observation of chaotic reality, I am looking for visual and metaphorical connections between the objective world and the psyche. I am concerned about the states associated with emotional pain - depression, loneliness, fear, entropy, as well as the living of these states by a woman. I use photography and painting to create my projects. In photographs, I capture the objective world created by humans, which acts as a metaphor for feelings. The main object of my abstract painting is color, which is both a code of feelings, and at the same time provokes new ones, depending on the viewer's perception. Works are in private collections in Belarus, Lithuania, Ukraine, Poland, Germany, USA, Japan, Russia, Georgia
