About The Artwork

Enrique Pichardo's Cuerpo escueto en fondo negro is a work done in acrylic on canvas that shows how the master Pichardo lets himself be carried away with the brushes and allows the magic of the same work to tell him when to stop. It is a fun work, full of color, and simple strokes that stand out on a black background and make the silhouette vibrate without needing any company other than the spectator himself. Enrique Pichardo is a Mexican artist who specializes in painting. He received his training from one of the most prestigious schools in Mexico and has developed his own unique style which he describes as "expresionismo naïf." Pichardo's work is characterized by its childlike innocence and simplicity, something that he says comes from his continuous search for that inner child within himself. His work has been internationally recognized and exhibited in countries such as Austria, Singapore, Belgium, and Spain.

The Mexican plastic artist, Enrique Pichardo, has more than 30 years of experience as a painter. His technique and style combine artistic influences from other countries with the traditional Mexican influence. In his own words, he defines his art as naive expressionism. The plastic work of Enrique Pichardo has more than one aspect. On the one hand, he creates works that are densely populated with shapes, figures, and colors. On the other hand, he has abstracted urban landscapes with a neutral color palette that recreates everyday situations. However, the special characteristic that maintains the cohesion of all his pieces is the conviction of approaching art through a return to his childhood and his first traces. Paint like a child, paint with more expression than technique, paint with feeling over technique. The painter seeks the skillful strokes of his inner child to carry out each of his pieces.
