"Devotion No.2" abstract contemporary painting by fine artist Sara Richardson.The Devotion paintings are a subset of the Belonging Series I began working on recently. When you view all the works together, you can see how the marks, color choices and shapes from the Belonging pieces carry over into the Devotion paintings. The tone, abstraction and textural aspects of the series represents conflict, resolve and the range of emotions when deep human connections are made, lost and grown again. It's not necessarily about deconstruction or rebuilding but more about the tiny seed that sparks the action to move from a flat line. To act. To try.
