Philosophers do not agree on which specific law should be the guiding principle to guide all human actions, because choosing one form of law either, natural law, divine law, or human law, would lead to a limiting effect. It is important for humanity to apply natural law, divine law and divine law to guide several aspects of human life. In modern society, this can be possible because of separation of institutions. The state provides the human law, religious institutions the divine law and individuals through intellect and reason observes the natural law. I believe that it is only through a harmonious observance of the divergent laws that human can attain ultimate happiness and the common good, but until then, our living room will stay distorted.
