My paintings express the joy of life. Pamela Silver was born in Johannesburg South Africa and grew up in Zimbabwe She is a graduate of the University of Cape Town. She has her teacher’s certificate from Goldsmiths College University of London, studied painting at the Art Students League New York, printmaking at the Massachusetts College of art and Design and the Jerusalem Print Workshop She has been living in Israel since 1973 Her art has been exhibited in Museums and Galleries worldwide in over 90 exhibitions- in Europe, China, Japan, Russia, the USA, the UK, Africa and Israel Her 26 solo exhibitions include the Irma Stern Museum Cape Town 2018; Ben Uri Gallery and Museum, London; The National Gallery of Zimbabwe, Harare and Bulawayo; Spier, Stellenbosch, South Africa; Museu Aqua, Lisbon; Leighton House Museum, London; Zaritsky Artists ‘ House, Tel Aviv; The Artists’ House Jerusalem Highlights of group exhibitions include” Osaka Triennial Print” Japan, 1998 “Second Beijing International Art Biennale” Beijing 2005; “Olympic Fine Art Exhibition” Beijing 2008, 111 and IV National Drawing Biennale in Israel”- 2007 and 2010; “The Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition” London 2015; “The Original Print Show” curated by Norma Ackroyd CBE RA, The Zillah Bell Gallery, Thirsk, UK, 2015; “The Masters Etching” The Royal Society of Painters – Printmakers, London, 2016 Pamela Silver’s art is in the collection of the Israel Museum, The Tel Aviv Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, The National Museum of women in the Arts, Washington I am intuitive artist painting the flowers from my garden and my dreams and experiences. I have been painting for 50 years. My paintings light up and bring joy to homes, offices, museums and public centers. I love color, and movement. My garden is my daily inspiration I love watercolors for their immediateness and the colors are so vibrant.
