Elysium Painting

This painting was inspired by a walk with Tanja Kisslinger. We walked along the Bonnechere River in Renfrew. It was a beautiful day. Everything was perfect. Just a dream. Later that day - that night the energy of that time together flowed through me like a whisper. And I stayed up very late and painted this work. Elysium - This word came into Latin from the Greek Elysion. In classical mythology, Elysium, or the Elysian fields, was the home of the blessed after death, the final resting place of the souls of the heroic and the pure.
