About The Artwork

"Evening Sun in the Valley" is an abstract artwork inspired by nature, capturing the subtle, essence-reduced landscape. It depicts the sun, round and clear in the sky, surrounded by defined cloud formations whose shapes are clearly discernible. The focus of the piece is on harmonious color compositions that capture the evening mood. The flat execution and clear structure created by the use of oil pastels and soft pastels give the painting an abstract atmosphere, in which light also plays a crucial role. Handmade paper from 100% recycled cotton rag 200gsm. Please note that the paper is handmade and does not have neatly trimmed edges, but rather irregular edges. It is not rectangular; instead, some sides are shorter and run diagonally. The signature and date are on the back. Not framed.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

In my artistic works, I merge minimalism with abstraction by focusing on the essential elements of nature. I explore the transformation of landscapes, play with forms, lines, and colors, reflecting both the subtle beauty of nature and the intervention, division, and transformation of landscapes. Through the reduction to the essential, I invite the observer to contemplate the harmony or disharmony between humans and nature. I began my artistic journey at the renowned Bauhaus-University in Weimar, delving into interdisciplinary projects of visual arts and participating in various exhibitions. Subsequently, during my two-year studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg, I took part in two group exhibitions curated for the Hamburg Senate and DGB. I completed my studies in Weimar in 2001. Since 2015, I have been dedicated to art professionally. I started in Berlin, being part of an artist community, and currently, I work in my own small studio in Barcelona.
