Facade Painting

Facade shows how power and grace can be driven by perception. Part of a collaborative series created by Amber Stene & Jodi Lightner, addressing the necessity of reinventing oneself to adapt to new surroundings. For the series, Amber painted the figures and Jodi contributed with the environments, creating surreal outcomes. This work is on Yupo, an archival artist’s sheet that allows watercolor to behave in uncommon ways, with a contemporary aesthetic. Façade is a triptych. The original artwork ships as three individually framed works each in sleek black metal molding with a ¼” reveal edge, and raised art with no glazing (glass). Each framed piece is 27" high x 17" wide. When hung as a triptych, the three works measure 55" wide with 2" between each piece. The artwork is signed on the back by both artists.
