This watercolor created in 2016 was inspired by two different photographs in black and white I found on Twitter about women: one of these showed a female shape in underwear putting on or putting off a trousers; and the other one an Asian woman showing her naked breast. What I was interested in both images were the suggestive shapes of the figures contours, what it gave me the idea to paint playing with lights and shadows, as unpainted and painted areas, in the same way that if they were spectres seen through a screen in black and white in an Asian horror film. As usual I painted directly on the paper with the brush (I never draw in pencil) and as I did in my watercolor "Two heads" I used a diagonal structure keeping all the space of the background empty and defining the figures with a few brushstrokes in black tint. This minimal illustration in black and white is signed and dated on the front and is shipped in an extra strong carboard tube. It can be framed as desired.
