About The Artwork
There aren't many forsythia bushes in my home state of Minnesota, so when I first moved to the East Coast, the startling yellow bushes that flowered so early in the spring dazzled me. I didn't know what to call them, and in my mind, they were "the firebushes." Later, I learned they were called Forsythia. This is a plein air painting of a forsythia bush that blossomed near my home in Washington, DC. It is a small 6"x8" oil painting. It is painted on Ampersand hardboard panel and comes unframed.
