This piece was inspired by a beautiful store-front in NYC. Sezane was decorated by Floratorium and the results were irresistible- I had to paint this beautiful bicycle. I really wanted it to be beautiful but also a little bit gritty, which is how I think of New York. Sweeping brush-strokes suggest flower petals and stems while drips define pavement under tires. This was a really fun piece to paint. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
