About The Artwork
This mosaic is a tribute to Queen frontman and music icon Freddie Mercury. The mosaic is realized with stained glass and venetian smalti, on wood. The background is realized in black malta with really tiny peaces of mirrored glass hand cutted , small tesserae like micro mosaics. In the background there is also a "secret message" realized with photoluminescent glass: the quote of Freddie Mercury "I won't be a rockstar I will be a legend" will be visible when you turn out the light.
