About The Artwork

“Garden of Eden" is an oil made artwork, with its base on paper, and graphite used for the detailed sketch, refers to the biblical story in which Adam and Eve lived in a paradise-like garden before their expulsion. The painting illustrates this concept in a metaphorical way, the center of the work being the woman with a perfectly shaped face, with a special, innocent kind of beauty, together with butterflies and flowers, as a garden scene. Also, the main colors are blueish, symbolising harmony, calmness, perfection and infinite horizons. Main inspiration for this work’s name we’re following artworks of the all time famous artists like: "The Garden of Earthly Delights" by Hieronymus Bosch: This triptych painting is a surreal and highly detailed representation of the Garden of Eden, featuring exotic creatures and symbolism, and “Adam and Eve" by Albrecht Dürer: Dürer's engraving portrays the couple in a serene garden setting, with animals and lush vegetation, before their fall from grace. The Garden of Eden has been a source of inspiration for me, it offers the opportunity to explore themes of innocence, temptation, and the consequences of human actions.

New on SaatchiArt! —Dear reader, I will leave here some thoughts about me: - I am Cornelia, a visual artist, with 12 years of experience and a fine arts lover. I was born in 2001, in a small, but beautiful country, Republic of Moldova, highly ambitious from a young age. I am creating art that’s mainly based on symbols and concepts of figurative art, been studying art since 8 years old, at the “Alexei Starcea school of Music & Art”, emerging myself deeply in the world of painting and drawing, sculpture and the history of art. from undertaking commissions since the age of 16 to curating a personal painting exhibition at 15, and a more intricate one at 21, my artistic journey has been intertwined with academic pursuits. In each educational endeavor I had at the university, I used to channel artistic expressions into diverse subjects, like weaving artistic social movements into economic research. Simultaneously, I organized painting workshops, managing 1 to 2 monthly commissions from both individuals and entities. This diverse journey not only exposed me to the interconnectedness of global structures and the artistic world but also garnered attention from local television and radio networks. And, what makes my imagination thrive, where do I mostly inspire myself from.? What truly ignites my creative fervor and propels my imagination like a flowing river are the ideals of freedom and open-mindedness, the allure of curiosity and ambition, the duality of love and nostalgia, and the intricate interplay between happiness and despondency... The coursing adrenaline in my veins intertwines with an insatiable longing to both create and explore the world through contrasting perspectives, forming the bedrock of my wellspring of inspiration. From the realms of poetry and music to the depths of philosophy and symbolism, from the enigmatic realms of mysticism and surrealism to the captivating allure of the concept of "la femme fatale". The profound desire for self-expression, manifesting in an alternate realm divergent from the tangible, fuels my artistic endeavors. It is the intensity of each emotion and the vivid sensation of being alive that guide my artistic pursuits capturing life in its unadulterated essence and embracing the spectrum of individual experiences.
