Oil on canvas During the theoretical researches and the creative experiments in different forms, I returned into my past at the experiences I once had, at the memories, the feelings and personal emotions of my childhood, my adolescence, and their revival and anchorage up to the present by the power of imagination of states, facts and things. I decided to bring to life my grandfather’s memory, characterized by tenderness, good mood, sensibility, in the ordinary man’s clothes of that particular period (1970), which were completed by the customary hat. The hat, a fashion object in its essence, becomes in my thoughts a symbol of my grandfather, a mark. In this context, I asked myself: can the hat become a subject for my works? From this question to an answer I started research. Thus, the hat receives the meanings of a subject which has a story that can be developed, fancied.Assuming ideas from different artistic currents, processed then around the ‘hat’ subject, I started a new and different pictorial approach: painting the object ‘hat’ in a realistic manner, the presence of the material object (hat) in painting through its integration into the work, the presence of some graphic elements, the use of some unconventional materials for some works, the representation through rehearsal, the achievement in abstract forms of some works till the moment when the main role is taken by the hats. The object became subject is thus placed in different contexts with the scope of inciting the various states and developing an own visual language.

Of the themes/subjects approached and developed within some series of works, we remind: - The story of receptables, reporting herself to object ob of the prehistoric receptable, the household object enriched or simplified in chromatic versions; - Memory fragment, (the name of a personal exhibition in 2015), where the direction is the visual re-signification of an artefact, of an emblematic element - the hat of my grandfather that becomes the plastic construction sign of the space; - Music and dance, catches in some works cultural traditions, in others the joy and dynamics of the characters. - Standing, where the subject is the chair, positioned in different contexts, beside the plastic image wants to transmit a state: sitting for contemplation, suspended, frozen etc.
