I wanted to make a powerfull painting where the female body is depicted in a active, subjective way that shows the individuality and power of the women. Seemingly three women, but there are really only two - one who looks at herself in the mirror and one behind her who gazes back at us. They have their hands clenched in fists and the brush strokes and colors add to the tension and the power in the painting. The painting is huge and makes a striking impression in real life, with the black background and the pink tones, the expressive faces and the strong bodies.

I paint mostly with acrylics on canvas, using bold brush strokes and palette knife to create structures. My art is characterized by vivid colors and clear forms, with a figurative style on the edge of becoming abstract. The human figure and the portrait is a main motif, creating new forms when overlapped and painted in different colors. I play with the borders of figurative and abstract and strive for balance and contrast in color.
