About The Artwork

I'm "inspired" by the way people treat alive beings in this world. Like animals are things, something dead. Like they are our slaves and we can sell them, use them, bring them pain (just because we can), kill them. Violence always changes our conscious and physical body. People always pay. They want to feel happines and to live with a closed eyes in the same time. Cause they think, that research into the essence of things is not interesting or not important. But everything is connected, every reason has a consequent. Not knowing the law does not free us from responsibility. Every life matters. Everything is holy. Artwork from the series "Nothing is holy. Everything is holy". The first sentence - is the way we live and behave here, on this planet, the second sentence is closer to verity (that's not the concept of mind, but a real state of your soul, you can feel it). Artwork's covered by varnish.

Lidia Matviyenko lives and creates in Ukraine, sign her creations as Lidikart. Grew up in the Sokal city (Lviv region, Ukraine). Graduate from the Lviv National Academy of Arts (faculty of costume design). Creates graphics, illustrations, decorative paintings, digital collages and wall paintings. Lida also write intuitive texts for her artworks.  She always felt something boundless inside, the potential, she didn't know how to express. Fairy tales (she was in love with the illustrations and stories), myths and songs, made a great influence on her formation in childhood (mother's merit). One of the most interesting book was "Evil Power" (ukrainian mythology) by Vasyl Korolov-Staryj with a beautiful mermaid on cover page. Lida believed from the early childhood, that elves, fairys, mermaids and other creations exists, like other civilizations in parallels worlds or smth. She had a resonance for all this inside of her soul.  Explores psychological moments, human nature (as a deep creation), nature of her soul (core), cause-effect relationships (connections), unmanifested (Echard Tolle's term), divine, spiritual in us, the way we form our reality, and how we affect on the collective reality too. Self-knowledge and exploring of own essence, of nature of things - the most interesting reason to be here, discovered by artist by now.
