About The Artwork
After visiting Cedar Key on the West Coast of Florida, I was inspired to paint "Honeymoon Cottage". It was created with watercolor techniques of pouring and washes of lavenders, teals, and complimentary yellows thus creating grays of the weathered wood of the cottage. In 1985 Hurricane Elena destroyed what was once a "Love Nest" of sorts. It once graced the patches of the local police department uniforms of Cedar Key. I hope the viewer will enjoy this small piece of Florida history with a twist!
