About The Artwork
This painting was inspired by a family story from Colombia, South America of a woman that scattered her husbands ashes in the Rio Cauca and immediately birds came and picked up the ashes and took them high up into the sky. She was pleased that her husband would now be travelling the world as he always wanted to.
