ARTIST: Valeria Golovenkina WORK: Original Acrylic painting, Handmade artwork MEDIUM:Acrylic on Board FRAME: Hand crafted varnished charcoal YEAR: 2021 TITLE: "I am the water" DIMENSIONS: 30x30 cm / 37x37 cm Framed Ships in box As in the black paintings from this series, the artist refers to the struggle of opposites in each of us. A frame burnt to coal and a stormy sea - fire and water, destruction and life. The white color in this painting is a symbol of purity and a new start. The black and White series of paintings with the sea are entirely about inner experiences, psychotherapy, living and emotions. After working through the trauma, a new, free life begins, past experience is gratefully accepted, life begins with a clean slate, as it were. The smooth golden circle behind gives the painting a touch of modern conceptual art and means a repeating of the trauma-liberation cycle. The charcoal frame is covered with yacht varnish. To your attention, I provide only the best and only original artworks. So you can be sure of the quality and uniqueness of the selected painting. Make an offer for this work! If you have any further questions about this artwork, if you want to see more photos, please, don't hesitate to ask! Thanks a lot for your interest in my work!

I'm a self-taught artist. My art carries what many people in big cities miss-the sun, the sea, the salty wind on their skin, the atmosphere of Mediterranean cities is relaxed and carefree, so the sea and water are the main subjects of my work. I am endlessly inspired by color and light, and the glare, contrast, and reflexes make my heart race. I remember a phrase my dad said to me: "Never lose your taste for life." I've been struggling with depression for several years and I want my paintings to help people cope with sadness and heavy emotions. I want to savor every bite, every emotion, every moment I've lived. This is what my marine art is about.
