"In Sync" Painting

Maryam Ebrahimi is a Toronto-based Canadian-Iranian abstract painter whose original acrylic paintings are magnetic in their meditative flow. Her abstract landscapes and seascapes, filled with sweeping skies, open horizons and feathered, bird-like brushstrokes, have captivated viewers and collectors around the world for their calming silhouettes and vibrant colors.

A professionally trained artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Ebrahimi has shown her work nationally and abroad in solo and group exhibitions, including a presentation at the Hangzhou Arts and Crafts Museum in Zhejiang, China, and in Baja California, Mexico. In Canada she has exhibited at The Artist Project in Toronto, Art Wall Expo in Ottawa and the Art Gallery of Hamilton, and in the US at The Other Art Fair Los Angeles. Her work is held in the corporate collection of State Farm Insurance Company in Lomita, California, and in private collections in Canada and Europe.

Ebrahimi is known for limited color palettes combined with heavy layers and seamless brushstrokes. Her work is full of depth, movement and hidden elements, inviting the viewer to explore unexpected textures, such as mechanical drawings woven into the overall composition. In her ongoing “Fly Me Away” collection, feathered strokes emerge from the canvas as birds, a reflection on migration, family and home, shaped like the first letter of the Farsi alphabet.

Each original painting is made in acrylic and mixed media on canvas, created to bring calm, light and movement to homes and workplaces.
