ean-Paul Charles Belmondo is a French actor, born April 9, 1933 in Neuilly-sur-Seine and died September 6, 2021 in Paris. He was also a film producer and theater director. Alternating in the early years of his career of popular films and cinema art and test before leaning clearly for the first category, his gawk of Parisian titi and his stunts without understudy contribute to quickly make it one of the biggest stars of French cinema. Undisputed champion of the box-office in the same way as Louis de Funès and Alain Delon at the same time, Jean-Paul Belmondo attracted in theaters, in fifty years of career, nearly 160 million spectators; between 1969 and 1982, he played four times in the most seen films of the year in France: The Brain (1969), Fear on the city (1975), The Animal (1977), The Ace of aces (1982), equaling the record of Fernandel and being surpassed on this point only by Louis de Funès. He turned under the direction of great French directors. Many of his films have become classics of French cinema, such as Breathless (1960), Leon Morin, Priest (1961), A Monkey in Winter (1962), The Man from Rio (1964), One Hundred Thousand Dollars in the Sun (1964), Borsalino (1970), The Break-in (1971), The Magnificent (1973), The Professional (1981) or Hold-up (1985).

France
I am a passionate Dutch portraitist who lives and works in France (Blois). I paint personalities and people who touch me, inspired by their talent and vision of life. My paintings are a tribute to these artists of all kinds, authentic, pure and, in my opinion, talented. I started with figurative Portraits. Now I am experimenting with pop art and contrasting colors. I like to work in series: Forever 27, Jazz musicians and singers, Impressionist Painters, Pop Music Stars, French singing and musical artists. I am happy to share these portraits with you and invite you to discover them here.
