About The Artwork

Three Sisters She is as her sisters, aside from her difference, Free-standing from the same soil they grow. She is of herself, though they are whole together, Three as one, yet one alone. Names and Totems Kali - (Kaly) Greek name meaning Rosebud ~ The Rose - Customarily the rose encapsulates love, beauty, promise, hope, passion, wisdom, intrigue, devotion, sensuality and timelessness. The rose is one of the oldest flowers in cultivation. Flowers - The symbolic language of flowers has been recognised for centuries in many cultures around the world. Nearly every sentiment imaginable can be expressed through them. However, the symbolism of even one species of flower can vary quite dramatically depending on both its subspecies, color and creed. So here, in the case of the Three Sisters, I have gone with the common universal significance of each blossom. Three (3) - The power of the number three is universal. The first number to which the meaning “all” or “complete” was given. It is The Triad, being the number of the whole as it contains the beginning, a middle and an end. The number 3 is a very mystical and spiritual and is also the smallest number we need to create a pattern, the perfect combination of brevity and rhythm. Sisters: Caya - (Caja) Scottish name meaning A Daisy. ~ The Daisy, so perfectly simple in it beauty, is a symbol of innocence, purity, new beginnings, true love and kept secrets. Lala - Slovakian name meaning Tulip ~ The Tulip - The beauty and grace of a Tulip means the flower has become a symbol for enduring, passionate love, regality, abundance, prosperity and indulgence. Inspiration and Work in Progress Getting back to basics bringing a special little something... three little somethings in fact, of my earlier style back into business. Mixing things up a little, breaking the monotony and adding a pinch of sugar and spice. I did think I could whip these three ladies up within the week. It took two. I had forgotten how many layers, upon layers… upon layers… a project like this with encompasses, not to mention the time and concentration to fitness those lines. Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

My name is Tanya Marie Reeves and I am a visual artist from Broken Hill, NSW Australia. I am a self-taught painter with over 20 years’ experience, working with both acrylics and textile applique. With beauty and passion, I portray empowered women upon the canvas by modern design likened to a combination of pop art, art deco, cubism, symbolism and art nouveau. I love to choreograph saturated block colour, simple lines, geometry and meticulous precision along with intricate patterns, textures and conceptual connotations. I am influenced by strong, empowered women whom are also vulnerable in-kind to be passionate, sensual and openhearted; I am influenced by colour and beauty, by divinity and magic, and by the spirited feminine connection with nature, the earth, and the universe. I am encouraged by my own growth from many of life’s tough lessons and mental health instabilities, and I am now driven to help other women open their hearts and minds, and ignite their desires to all of the possibilities within themselves.
