About The Artwork
Kate is a picture in an ongoing series of body prints based on the work of Yves Klein. I have used some of his body print works as a starting point for a series of outline drawings that explore colour and the simplified graphic style of Matisse. The dots are borrowed from the Sketch program in my phone and I hope viewers respond to the visceral paintwork .The subject is one I have been working with off and on for many years that of the Nude Female body.
