About The Artwork
This painting is a mixed media, the only piece I keep from the "Trees" series. Its creation came about when in a "second hand" bookstore in Provence I found a strange soviet book that showed reproductions of armament, especially Kalashnikov bullets. Trying to compose something with these bullets I created this painting that strangely, 15 years later, has another terrible meaning. The tree of destruction spreads its bullets of death over the earth, over Ukraine and so many other places.
