The horizon is, looking at it from a composition perspective, generally a calm form, whose melancholy os disrupted by inserting vertical aspects, usually using various foliage, lampposts, or other industrial elements. By introducing verticals into the monotony of the composition, arthur creates a dramatic rhythm and movement which add to the complexity of her work in a sense that it leaves room for exploring the psychological landscape from the perspective of the viewer. The source of inspiration derives from nature, but in some particular paintings it is evident to note the merging of nature and the industrial elements which add to the disbalance. Bringing attention to the co-existence of these two crucially different entities, the author notes the complexity of their existence in a shared space
