Women are still suffering all over the world particularly black women. When I look at the way black women are represented on mainstream and social media, I am not sure is empowering for young black souls. Women are fantasized or reduced to stereotypes. Even by black men. I used madras at the background as it is a fabric that is the fabric used by the black population of the French islands of Antilles. The matter is this fabric is totally manufactured by the white owned industry and has been imposed to the black folk who didn't have the right to wear the beautiful flowery fabrics. .The little girl is wearing a dress that was given by the mistresses to their slaves to hide their curves. It is called la gaule. It is still an outfit claimed to be traditional even-though it comes from slavery. The little girls is lost. Who is she going to be? How? And why?

France
Nuboa By FG is the label under which I paint. I live in France in the Vallée de Chevreuse, not far from Paris, where I sell my art. My paints are inspired by my journey as an afropean woman. Realising that roots matter and help you grow and find your space in the world. Wheb you find your space, you realze you have a voice that can be heard. My paints are my voice. Nubian Gypsy Art dives into my African roots and goes on in the adventure of the nomads. However , for the afroccidentale that I am, it is the compost on which the wealth of this cultural and intellectual interbreeding develops . African of origin, western by my education, I dive back into my roots the power of which feeds my creations of its symbols. The trance, the meditation and the creation always built bridges between me, my history and the rest of the world. Painting is for me a way to explore my psyche. I use several tools to develop my art. Gold, major element of my creation, is the symbol of what does not decay. A kind of unchanging ream on which stands the nest of my art. This strength, the source of this creativity, gave birth to the Nubian Gypsy Art.
