Leaning Notes Painting

The canvas is lightly sized and looks to have the soft quality of cloth, the background is a blend of chalk-whites and apricot pigments. I chose this to make a distinct textural feature of the lines drawn in black wax. The graphic imagery is inspired by a musical climax of notes and rhythm rising to a silence. I forget the piece although I can still hum it, tapping the beat, but don't imagine that a viewer must experience the same. I hope that the quasi-loose geometric lines will excite an emotion. If shipped in a box, the painting is ready to hang with simple fixings. If shipped rolled, it is a straight-forward job for a framer to stretch the canvas ready to install.
