Inspired by the work of french artist Paul Guiramand (1926-2007) and his bold use of colour, plus my love of swimming and envy of the courage shown by those that practice cold water or wild swimming. I hope this recreates the impression of freedom that I find when swimming. Oil on stretched canvas, created with a knife, a practice that still amazes me with its results
