About The Artwork

This painting was created to express all the emotions I feel about the events 24th of February when Russia attacked Ukraine with war. Being a Ukrainian raised in Mariupol seeing all the horrors happening to my country and my people are not something we thought we will face again. Bllack is the sorrow, blue and yellow are the colors of my soul and red is the color of the blood of every fallen Ukrainian in this genocide. Gold however represents the hope, light, and glory of my people. There is this saying that hope always dies last because where is hope there is light. "Life will win over death, and the light will win over darkness" Zelensky V. A.

Ukrainian-born artist and an interior designer living and creating in Spain. I cannot say I am sticking to a particular style right now. I always loved experimenting with color and just following my heart while doing so, it goes for both art and design. Working with different art media and technics, such as painting, ceramics, and sculpture I love to challenge my limits of understanding what is art and where can it take me. My preferred media are acrylics paints but I work with watercolor, Chinese ink, and oil paints as well. My work is inspired by my surrounding, smells, memories, or even daydreaming. I am still going through the process of understanding who I am as a person, why I am here, what is life and I think my art reflects it. Being raised by parents from the Soviet Union basically and in a society where emotions were under strict control, art became a free space to pour all of my feelings at once, showing the full spectrum of it. That is why most of my art is very colorful and sometimes chaotic.
