MIRRORING MYSELF Painting

I was born and live in Italy (Savona). My passion for painting took me as a child, I started to make my first painting on ceramic and then on canvas. Abstract painting is the medium that I use to express the world of the ego, the emotions and the feelings that I feel when something of the outside world affects me, I represent on canvas all perception of what I hear and I see. Painting allows me to enter the world of the interior and at the same time display with abstract shapes what words cannot express, with painting I can fix what real life gives me. My inspiration to create a painting can born by the state of mind where I am or visual stimuli that affect my attention, often does no matter what an object is, but what it represents for each of us. I like to use experimental mixed materials (sand, plaster, mortar, crystals ...) which I apply with more layers, so the canvas acquires different thicknesses creating effects of various reliefs. As it regards the color I apply it often in multiple layers, at the end so my work is never flat but forms emerge from the canvas creating color effects and multiple thicknesses. I devote special attention to the choice of the canvas which for me is very important because it represents not only support but is an integral part of the work, which is why I choose canvas that are created by hand by an Italian artisan and are thicker than the standard .
