About The Artwork
As a child raised in the south in the summers, i was surrounded by country/bluegrass music. many of my relatives played an instrument. They would get together at least once a week and have a jam session. My father played the fiddle and he taught me how to play the guitar. he would get together with other musicians up here in Michigan for a jam session. I always tagged along.

I was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 31, 1950. I currently work in oils but have also worked in water colors and stained glass.I currently live in rural Michigan but spent the majority of my life living in Detroit. I have always been conscious of social conditions and the environment around me. I try to reflect my feelings about these issues in my paintings. I feel art, should among other things, stir ones conscious toward issues that impact their fellows.
