NOTE: This painting is in an exhibit for the summer 2019 at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art and if purchased will not be available for delivery until the beginning of October.

This large-scale bold and energetic abstract painting is created on 5 stretched canvases which butt next to each other to create a single large piece. The imagery is abstract, gestural, patterned and suggests a cosmic view of atmosphere with forms moving through it. It is part of an ongoing series suggesting our place in the universe and the title "Navigations (Comet Chasing)" refers to the recent space exploration program called Rosetta. This European Space Agency's historic Rosetta mission concluded as planned, on 30 September 2016, with a controlled impact onto the comet it had been investigating for more than two years.
