Painting: Acrylic on Canvas.

40x40x4 cm

Painting from the serie: "Chroma Key project".

Inspired by a peculiar Italian underground culture popular among young people during the 80s. "Paninari" were fond of fashion, had a peculiar slang and followed strictly a dress code. Their favourite brands were Naj Oleari, Americanino, Timberland, El Charro, Moncler etc. Paninaro culture was born in Milan and then spread among young people all over Italy. The name "Paninaro" can be translated literally as "Sandwicher" and refers to the love of paninari for fast food and everything that was related to American culture. Fast food was not as common as today during the 80s in Italy and was perceived as something very modern and trendy.
