Esta obra, "Pareidolia", sintetiza de alguna manera mi particular experiencia de vida como artista latinoamericano, siempre inmerso en un mundo de referencias y prácticas culturales autóctonas, europeas y africanas. Representa además una escala en ese camino del que nos habla el poeta Machado: "Caminante, son tus huellas el camino y nada más. Caminante, no hay camino, se hace camino al andar. Al andar se haceel camino, y al volver la vista atrás se ve la senda que nunca se ha de volver a pisar. Caminante no hay camino sino estelas en la mar". Escala del camino donde encontre tres claves para continuar la marcha: azar, juego y pareidolia.

Born in Caracas in 1952. At age 15 begins his artistic training process, with the realization of advertising drawing courses at the Higuera Giménez Academy in Caracas. At age 20, worked with the painter Loris Barey, as assistant in the Landscape Workshop, also attends the Free Painting Workshop at the School of Plastic Arts Cristóbal Rojas of Caracas; Where he meets the muralist Gabriel Bracho (1915-1995), with whom he cultivated a long time friendship. He was a founding member, along with the artists Gabriel Bracho and Luis Domínguez Salazar, of the new Public Art Workshop. He directed and advised museological and archaeological projects in Zulia State: Gabriel Bracho House Museum and Museum of Man, Puertos de Altagracia; Maracaibo Anthropological Museum; "Rescue archeology in the North Mine", Guasare-Socuy Carboniferous Microregion, "Study of archaeological prospecting in the area of the projected shipping terminal in Pararú", Municipality Páez.
