"Portal" draws inspiration from a blend of historical eras and the transformative power of dance. The presence of landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty alongside the moon's phases suggests a celebration of travel and the passage of time. The dancer's costume hints at the exuberant flair of the 1920s, perhaps paying homage to the era's spirit of freedom and artistic innovation. The swirling sea wrapped in her cape could symbolize the tumultuous journey of life, while the medium of oil paint connects this contemporary work to a long tradition of artistic exploration.

For me, creativity is as necessary as the air we breathe, without my painting I would only exist, but I would not live. What I want to convey in my art. I am inspired by the beauty of life, time, philosophy and infinity. I want my paintings to express the spiritual side of existence, the spiritual and metaphysical level that we can come into contact with. I want to speak to the viewer through beauty and symbols and am interested in how I can share my world with others. In the oil painting The Way to Light, an ocean and a sunset are visible, the waves embrace the sun like a heart. In the watercolors with dancers, their figures turn into flowers. Time runs out is a depiction of transience but the memory of beauty remains and everything is part of an eternal cycle. I enjoy working with large or medium formats that give me and my hands a freedom to immerse myself and experiment. The work is a process where materials and ideas can change and I paint until the motif resonates with me. I also want the finished piece to resonate with the hearts of my viewers and become a part of their souls. If I succeed in that, I have achieved my goal.
