About The Artwork

Life is made of pleasures. Nature VS addictions: that's our society. A beautiful landscape, a warm sun, a blue sky, but still looking for something: a cup of coffe and a cigarette. Life is an ongoing attachment to desires and pleasures, where the combination of nature and pleasures becomes prohibited. I found how attitude can change in different countries: in Italy I could smoke and have a cigarette on the beach, no worries, it was pleasure; here in Australia is prohibited, not just because of the law and because there are no kiosks on the beach, but mostly because people respect nature.

I'm an Italian/Australian emerging abstract artist, born in Italy, currently living in Australia. My home country always inspired me in creating art, my main stream of inspiration is the Surrealism Movement and Postmodernism. I started painting since I was 8 and since then I never stopped. My art practice is painting acrylics on canvas and wood panels, this is because I like the flexibility of acrylic paint. I started as a self-taught, however, the Italian education system includes Art history and practice as a core subject, so here I really started developing this passion into more concrete practice. Since here in Australia, I kept my creativity as a hobby, however people complimented my works, motivating me to start a degree in Fine Arts. My art has been valued by Angelo Crespi, an Italian Art critic, to be 2.6 of the artist coefficient.
