About The Artwork
The work shown here was inspired by people saying things to hurt others that aren't necessarily true. I in my own life have experienced the pain of people who say that I am mentally challenged and out of touch, however this is untrue. The pain that I felt from this causes me to periodically withdraw from others, lock myself in solitude and create. There is a dark, shadowy figure at the bottom of this work that symbolizes such emotion. Sometimes how we see things could be incorrectly interpreted and and spoken towards another in order to break one's spirit.
