Suraquarelle "Quo vadis" is my rethinking of the phrase addressed to Christ by the Apostle Peter, who decided to secretly leave Rome. It became the title of one of the strongest historical novels of the 19th and 20th centuries, written by the Polish writer Henryk Sienkiewicz. I change the historical religious context of the persecution of the first Christians from Rome to the contemporary ecological one. Now the waters of the world's oceans are polluted with non-degradable waste in the form of 6 garbage gyres and microplastics, even reaching the Mariana Trench. We are trying to get away from personal responsibility for the purity of the water resources of our planet. However, there is nowhere to go. Isn't it better to turn around and meet a global task, changing your thinking, and start doing even the smallest daily actions to solve it? I want every viewer of my work to try to answer this question for himself.

I choose materials and images for my works that allow the viewer to have a sensory experience and ignite the imagination. For the installation were used fabrics tactilely resemble the dolphin skin and the ocean sound as a soundtrack. I create surreal watercolors through a visual search for a finished plot in basic abstract watercolor drawing. When you look closely at abstraction, many images appear. Task: choose catchy ones. I do many abstractions. This is my image library. I transfer the captured image to separate sheet of paper. I like to create a dialogue of 2 colors, playing with shades in my artwork. Plots that I find are mostly the fruit of my understanding of the literature I love: fairy tales, history, fiction and poetry. Also, “raw material” for the plot can be strong impressions of surrounding world, such as diving to all the deepest depths of the ocean by a man. My heroes are flexible and even fluid. They play with space and time. The beginning of my art way was a spinal injury and a slowdown in life. My doctor recommended me to draw and look into myself for recovery support. I had an insight. I began to perceive the challenge as a chance to explore my personality and create in my mind those physical possibilities that I want. Reality has begun to change.
