Reflection Painting

The one of a project "Planet of Basic Feelings", the philosophical, and ironic comprehension theme of love, sex and deep feelings. The theme is chosen as a protest against the so-called “New wave of hypocricy”, one way or another affecting the whole world. The language of representation chosen as decorative, symbolic and a bit naïve, ascending to folk art, sometimes stylized as possible. It was done in order to distance from the subjects and evaluate them detachedly and contemplatively. The visual system is saturated by ornaments inherent to decorative art to emphasize the unreality, alienness and conventionality of the characters and worlds in which they live. The colors convey latent emotional tension. The subject pictures are interspersed by linear representations of female torsos, which creates pauses and a certain rhythm. My education is classic but my goal is to mix classical skills with achievements of contemporary art. I tend to decorative painting, colors are very important for me. The power, harmony and balance of strong color relationships help me to represent meanings, emotions and philosophy. That's why I prefer acrylic technic although I was educated on oil painting of the Old master’s school and a lot of my early paintings are done by oil.
